U8 Developmental Soccer Program (2026-27)

Birth Dates: August 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019

Our Philosophy: Development Without the Pressure

At age seven and eight, we believe soccer should be about two things: having fun with friends and getting comfortable with the ball. Unlike "Competitive" programs that prioritize league standings and heavy travel, our program is designed to be:

Local: We train right here at ISD to keep your weeknights simple.

Pressure-Free: We don’t cut players or rank them. We teach them.

Skills-Focused: our goal is for every child to leave the season with more confidence in their footwork than they had on day one.

Eligibility & Curriculum

Birth Dates: August 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019

Our curriculum focuses on ball mastery, 1v1 confidence, and high-repetition technical drills. We deliver these skills in a supportive, community-based atmosphere where players feel safe to try new things and learn from their mistakes.

Coaching Approach

Sessions are led by Director John Mulroy and or knowledgeable volunteer coaches committed to a "Player-First" philosophy.

Small-Sided Focus: We use small-sided formats (1v1 through 5v5) to ensure every player gets the maximum number of "touches" on the ball and stays fully involved.

Structured Growth: Our volunteer-led teams follow a seasonal technical plan to ensure consistent development across the entire age group.

Seasonal Schedule

We provide a year-round pathway held at the International School of Denver (ISD).

Fall ‘26 Season: August 25 – October 29 (8–9 weeks)

Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Spring ‘27 Season: March 16 – May 27 (8–9 weeks)

Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Note: There are no training sessions during ISD School Breaks (Fall Break and Spring Break).

Tournament Weekends: Learning, Skills, and Balance

We believe that great soccer players should also be well-rounded kids. Our program is intentionally designed to allow families to fully commit to soccer while still having the freedom to enjoy everything else Colorado has to offer.

Each season (Fall and Spring), our teams participate in two local tournaments. We view these weekends as a fun, high-energy "classroom" where players can:

Apply Their Knowledge: Move from the practice field to a game setting to test their new skills.

Learn the Game: Gain a deeper understanding of teamwork, positioning, and sportsmanship.

Build Chemistry: Create lasting memories and friendships with their teammates.

By focusing on these specific weekend events rather than a weekly schedule, we ensure your family can plan for great soccer without missing out on the other life experiences that make growing up in Colorado special.

Note: To keep our base registration fees affordable, tournament entry fees are handled as a supplemental cost per event.

Uniforms & Gear

Our players take the pitch in official adidas uniform kits. To provide the best value for our families, we operate on a 2-Year Uniform Life Cycle. This means the kit design stays the same for four full seasons, so you don’t have to buy a new one every year.
